NYBL Registration

What aged players are appropriate for this program? Do you have to have any experience to sign up?

Players must be in 5th-8th grade, live in Needham or attend school in Needham. All abilities are welcome and encouraged. Players are divided by gender and grade, 5th/6th and 7th/8th.

What time of the year does this program run?

The season runs from mid-November to mid-March. There are no games/practices during school vacation.

Where are practices and games typically held?

Practices and games are held at the Kennedy Center and Parish Center gyms at the St. Joseph Elementary School in Needham. There are also practices/games at Pollard middle school.

When are practices and how often are they?

Teams will have practice or a game 2-3 times a week ideally.

How many games will they play? What days of the week?

Teams will play 15+ games throughout the season. Practices/games are played Monday-Sunday.

Are jerseys provided or are they purchased separately?

Pinnies will be provided to each player and each player will be required to bring their pinnie to both practices and games. Coaches will be given a t-shirt as well.

What costs beyond registration fees should be expected?

There are no extra costs.

How are teams divided?

Once registration is complete, Directors of each age group divide the teams as evenly as possible. Our goal is to make every team equal. We do the best we can with the information you provide to us.
